Job Details:
  • Design and develop specialized tooling, fixtures, and test equipment to support component repair and overhaul operations.
  • Evaluate OEM tooling requirements and identify equivalent or alternative tooling solutions where applicable.
  • Ensure all tooling complies with applicable aviation regulations (e.g., Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations such as 14 CFR Part 145) and customer requirements.
  • Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical documentation.
  • Support tooling validation, qualification, and calibration processes.
  • Coordinate tooling procurement, including vendor selection, cost analysis, and lead time management.
  • Work closely with technicians, inspectors, and engineering teams to improve tooling effectiveness and reduce turnaround time (TAT).
  • Troubleshoot tooling-related issues on the shop floor and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain a tooling control program, including tracking, inspection intervals, and serviceability status.
  • Assist in audits and ensure tooling records meet regulatory and quality system requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased efficiency through tooling innovation.
  • Provide technical support during new product introductions and repair capability expansions.
  • Needs to pass a drug test.
